Hello, world (again)
I rebuilt this site from scratch. The old version was a tired template on a paid builder — fine, but not mine, and not something I'd actually want to point a recruiter or a curious peer at. So I tore it down and rebuilt it as a fast, static, version-controlled site I fully control. (If you're curious how the move went, that's its own post.)
This blog is the part I'm most excited about. I learn best by writing things down, and the security field is full of stuff that's poorly documented or buried behind jargon. So I'm going to write the posts I wish I'd found.
What to expect here
- Security notes — practical defensive security, fundamentals done well, and lessons from breaking things on purpose.
- Homelab — what I'm running, what broke, and what I learned hosting my own services.
- Automation — small scripts and agents that remove human error and give me time back.
- Occasional rabbit holes — AI/ML, web tinkering, and whatever has my attention.
